The Colts Committee in its current format was established in 1997.
Stuart Barnes & Martin Ekers represent the Colts section at the main cricket club committee meetings.
The U11,U13 & U15 A Teams all play in the CEDCB (Central Essex District Cricket Board) League Division One and the B teams in Division Two West, with an additional U11B & 13B teams in Division 2 East for 2012. Fixtures are normally on a Sunday morning or a weekday evening. The U16 side are in the Matchplay competition; matches are on Sunday or Bank Holiday Monday afternoons.
Coaching at the club (6pm-8pm) starts on Wednesday 25th April 2012 for the u15 & u16 squads, on Thursday 26th April for u13s and on Friday 27th April for U9s & u11s. School Yr 1 & 2 (Foals) will start later in the summer (6:30-7:30).
At the AGM in December 2011, the annual subscription for U16s and younger was agreed at £60.
A colt's membership automatically includes Social Membership for the Parents/Guardians.
Clothing
All players, including colts, are encouraged to wear official SCC clothing, to look like a member of their team and to raise the profile of the club.
Coaching
Our Coaching Co-ordinator, David Castell, together with the Head Coach, Thomas Fulk, will oversee the whole colts section development within the club, assisted by other qualified coaches, current players and ex-players.
