CRICKET TEAMS & COMPETITIONS

For the 2017 season, the District Leagues we are entering;

  • 3 U9 teams – 1 Softball, 2 Hardball
  • 3 U11 teams
  • 1 U12 teams
  • 2 U13 teams
  • 1 U14 team
  • 1 U15 team
  • An U16 Matchplay side

In addition to the leagues, teams will also enter knockout cup competitions at U9, U11, U13 and U15.

The U12s will compete in the Peter Coe Cup again this season, playing 7 group games with the group winners progressing to the Semi-finals…..and final!

Following the success of the U16 Matchplay squad last season, SCC have again entered the competition.

Acting as an excellent springboard for our younger cricketers to progress into the club senior squads, the Matchplay competition will see SCC play in three group games. Successful qualification will see the team progress to the last 16 knockout stages.

The Shenfield Spitfires will compete strongly in all age groups in Division 1, whilst the Hurricanes, providing as much match time to as many Colts as possible will compete in Division 2.

The league and cup matches are also supplemented by intra-club and inter-club friendly matches. These games are an ideal introduction, with the help of the club, for parents who wish to organise and manage a team, please contact Matt Pryor if you have any questions.

CLOTHING

Note, that all Colts representing SCC at any competitive fixture must wear a SCC logo top and cap to all matches (including on arrival). It is agreed by all managers the appropriate dress code is an important aspect of representing our club, both on and off the field. For all clothing and equipment requirements, please see Tom Fulk or follow the link to the online shop.
